GENERAL DERMATOLOGY AND SKIN CANCERS

Dermatology Services

  • Consultation, diagnosis and management of skin, hair, scalp or nail problems, including:

    • Eczema

    • Any skin rash

    • Skin infections, bacterial, viral, fungal

    • Urticaria

    • Benign lesions e.g. skin tags, warts

    • Pigmentary disorders e.g. chloasma (melasma)

 

  • Diagnosis and management of skin cancers

    • We provide services to diagnose and treat patients with different types of skin cancers both Non Melanoma and Melanoma.

    • All NICE and BAD Guidelines will be considered and applied for the treatments.

    • On occasion, referrals to the other specialists, for example; Plastics, Maxillofacial, ENT and General Surgeon may be necessary regarding the Anatomic site and size of skin cancers.

    • On occasion, after removal of skin cancers and analysis of histopathology results, patients may need to be referred to secondary care for MDT (Multi Disciplinary Team Meetings) for discussions considering potential further treatments. 

    • Patients will be supported through all stages of the process.

  • Noninvasive dermoscopic screening of moles

  • Management of skin lesions both benign and malignant in organ transplant patients

  • Skin surgery, including biopsy (skin samples) and removal of moles and tumours

  • Treatment of scars using steroid injections

  • Treatment of hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) using botox Injections

  • Cryotherapy

 

All biopsy material and excised moles or tumours are sent to the laboratory for microscopic analysis and diagnosis. The patient will be seen I or 2 weeks after surgery for wound after-care and removal of stitches where necessary.

Telephone consultation (30 minutes) - £150 

 

Consultations for new patients normally last for 30 - 45 minutes. Follow up consultations last for up to 30 minutes. If the consultation needs to be extended, the fee will accordingly be higher.

 

Surgical procedures:

Skin biopsy - From £250

Excision of skin lesions - £400-£500

For each additional lesion - £100

Shave excision of lesions - From £350, for each extra £150

Primary excision of skin cancer - £550

Secondary excision of skin cancer - £650

Curettage of skin lesions - From £300

Cryotherapy of warts - From £250

Mole removal - From £400

For each additional mole removal - £150

Skin tag removal - From £150
