What to expect
BOOKING PROCESS
After getting in contact, the majority of patients will be seen for their initial consultation within 1 week. Earlier appointments may be available for urgent situations.
Patients will be requested to fill in a form giving information about their general health prior to the consultation. A registration form will be provided and we ask you for your credit or debit card details to secure your booking (however no payment is taken at this stage).
You will be responsible for the costs of your treatment therefore it is important you will find about the cover your insurer will provide. The best way is to contact your insurer before your appointment to inform them about your health issue.
For the Treatments or Consultations that are not covered by the Health Insurance organisations the payment should be made at the Reception on the day of your appointment.
Patients are generally not recommend to make decisions about their treatments and cosmetic procedures at the first consultation to allow time to make decisions, considering the benefits and risks or sequels of the treatments for which detailed information will be provided at the first visit. Making decisions is the patients personal choice towards their health and you will never be pushed into anything or not provided all the information you need to make an informed decision.
Photographs will be taken before and after treatments, with this information kept strictly confidential under the profile of each patient. Photography and Dermoscopy photography are essential for mole monitoring and making a skin cancer diagnosis. Photography could be considered for skin disorders and cosmetic procedures being an extremely helpful resource in the assessment of the effectiveness of treatments.
Patients will be supported during the whole process from initial consultation to post treatments. Thorough information will be provided during every stage, the consultations, treatment options and after care of any surgical or cosmetic procedure .
Patients will be required to sign consent forms before any surgical or cosmetic procedure. This is a requirement but only after all questions and options have been discussed, information provided and considering the benefits and the risks of the procedure.
In all procedures, every care is taken to minimise any risks, but as in all procedures some risks are not fully controllable.
PAYMENT
Payment details are taken at the time of booking, but only charged on the day of the appointment. However, the request is made that patients provide a minimum 48hrs notice if they can not attend a scheduled appointment. Non-notification or within 48hrs of the appointment will incur the cost of the consultation/treatment.
